1. Lemon and Ginger
Cut ginger into small strips, mix it with lemon juice and some salt and keep the mixture refrigerated. Eat one or two strips of soaked ginger before every meal, this will increase the digestive fire and ease the digestion.
2. Drink warm water
Having warm water is said to stimulate Agni, resulting in hunger and easy digestion; on the other hand cold water extinguishes the digestive fire.
3. Time matters
Ayurveda recommends lunch to be the largest meal of the day and it needs to be consumed when ‘Agni’ works at its best. 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. is the best recommended time for meals because that’s when the digestive fire is the strongest.
